It’s time to stop hunting for lipstick because YSL Beauty’s Rouge Sur Mesure Custom Lip Colour Creator is now available. This small machine gives you the option of creating a different shade of lipstick each time you need it.
When L’Oreal debuted its Perso Smart Skincare system in 2020, it was still just a prototype. The device works like a handheld dispenser that delivers a dose of customized skincare formula each time the user presses it. By using this framework, YSL produces different shades of luxurious lipstick rather than skincare.
Taking into account the number of lipstick colors you can create with the Rouge Sur Mesure device, which sells for US$299, it is a pretty good bargain. It uses YSL formula cartridges that can be filled with red, nude, orange, or pink YSL “ink.”
With Rouge Sur Mesure Lip Colour Creator, you can make “thousands of custom matte lipstick shades” with YSL Velvet Cream Matte Finish with just a touch. A companion app lets you scan photos that will inspire the color of your lipstick. Try a shade inspired by Kim Kardashian’s light pinky beige nude lips, Audrey Hepburn’s baby pink lips in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, or even Dua Lipa’s Nude Lipstick.
Another option is to choose and tweak your favorite hue using a wheel. When you run out of ideas, you can allow the algorithm to generate three options based upon what you’re wearing. Once the colour has been selected, press ‘create’ and the machine will dispense a single serving that can be applied with a special brush.
The YSL lipstick cartridges are larger than one of their typical lipsticks on the market. In addition, Yves Saint Laurent guarantees that the cartridges contain an embedded chip that keeps track of when they were last opened and when they are due to expire in order to ensure their safety.
