Although black dresses are a classic fashion choice, we would like to pause their appearance on the red carpet unless they’re given a distinct and stylish twist.
Last night at the Pinkvilla Style Icons 2022 Awards, Janhvi Kapoor may have donned a black gown with all the right cutouts, but Amyra Dastur seems to have done it better.
As seen on the red carpet, Amyra opted not to wear a basic black dress as that would be unflattering to her. Instead, she donned a black jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and tapered silhouette.
It had a red carpet feel thanks to the flowing train that emerged from its waist. From either side was a black embellished detail enclosing a train with a cutout at the front of the train to showcase her trousers. Amyra paired her ensemble with black pointed pumps and a choker necklace and bracelet with stone-studded detailing.
Amyra added vibrancy to her monochrome outfit with a burgundy lip and narrow eyebrows. Bronzer highlighted her cheeks and highlighter made her skin glisten. Finally, she pulled her hair back in an updo hairstyle. All in all, Amyra had a successful fashion day. Even though Amyra Dastur took a risk on the red carpet, while most celebrities played it safe, we think her outfit paid off in the end.
