On Wednesday, Amazon Prime Video shared a tweet where they announced the date for Pushpa. Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa: The Rise” is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on January 7. Having its theatrical release on December 17, 2021, the Telugu action thriller became a blockbuster at the box office. The film was also dubbed into different languages, including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and more. Amazon Prime Video announced the premiere of the movie on its official Twitter account.
“He’ll fight. He’ll run. He’ll jump. But he won’t succumb! Watch #PushpaOnPrime, January 7. In Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada,” read Amazon Prime’s tweet. At the box office, Pushpa: The Rise has crossed more than ₹65 crores, according to the film-maker.
At the press conference of his film Pushpa, Allu Arjun explained that he has grown up watching Hindi films since he was a child and that making the transition into Bollywood will be a major step in his career. As Allu Arjun revealed at the special screening of his film Pushpa in Mumbai, he loves Hindi cinema. “I have grown up watching it. I want to direct a straight Hindi film.” There have been a few offers, but nothing really exciting or interesting has been offered,” Allu Arjun said, according to PTI.
Naveen Yerneni of Mythri Movie Makers is co-producer on Pushpa: The Rise with Y Ravi Shankar of Y Ravi Shankar. Sukumar of Arya fame is the director and writer. The movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil, who makes his Telegu debut. Production the sequel titled Pushpa: The Rule Part 2 is expected to begin this year.
