There’s going to be an OTT debut for Shah Rukh Khan soon. The superstar announced that SRK+ (apparently his OTT project) will take place. “Kuch kuch hone wala hai, OTT ki duniya mein,” (Something will happen in the OTT world) he revealed on Instagram on Tuesday. A logo for the new platform was also displayed.
SRK had posted a video on Instagram last September with the caption: “Hmmmm…I’m still not done with the picture…my friends.” (The picture is still incomplete). As a result of Shah Rukh’s son Aryan’s arrest for narcotics possession and the court hearings, the project was delayed. However, Shah Rukh is gradually returning to the film industry as Aryan has been cleared by the Bombay high court.
A recent report claimed the superstar would make his Disney+Hotstar debut.
Aanand L. Rai directed Shah Rukh’s last film, Zero, which was released in 2018. His next film, Pathan, is due in January 2023 and will feature Deepika Padukone and John Abraham as leads.
