Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel have moved into the next phase of their relationship by purchasing a home together. The couple looked over Los Angeles real estate and selected a 1938 Georgian-style home
This news was revealed by Scott in the latest issue of Drew + Jonathan Reveal magazine, a joint venture between him and his twin brother Drew.
HGTV star, who previously lived in Las Vegas, spoke about why the couple decided to move to Los Angeles.
In the latest issue of Jonathan and his twin brother Drew’s magazine, Drew + Jonathan Reveal, 43-year-old Jonathan shared the happy news with 41-year-old former New Girl star.
Deschanel’s kids – Charlie Wolf, 4, and Elsie Otter, 5 – who she shares with her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik will live in Deschanel’s new Los Angeles home, which they closed on in June 2020 and have been renovating since then.
In the summer of 2019, Zooey and Jonathan began dating while filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke with their famous siblings (actress Emily Deschanel and real estate agent Drew) and made their relationship official the following August.
When Jonathan isn’t traveling for his HGTV shows, he calls a family compound in Las Vegas home. This was a big step for the couple, whose lives have never been the same since purchasing their first home together.
Jonathan and the 41-year-old New Girl actress have been busy renovating the home since closing on it. Jonathan calls her “the yin to my yang, the PB to my J.” The two of them actually have very similar tastes in design, which Jonathan finds refreshing considering that, in his experience renovating houses for other families, “couples rarely agree on how to design their houses.”
