The music for both movies was composed by Oscar-winner A R Rahman, and to top it off, legendary actor Kamal Hassan will be unveiling the trailer and music at the event.

A steady stream of behind-the-scenes videos has been released for the sequel. It starred Vikram, Karthi, and Jaym Ravi who played Aditha Karikalan, Vallavaraiyan Vandiyadevan, and Arulmozhi Varman, respectively.

There’s a BTS video featuring Trisha Krishnan who plays princess Kundavai and a final BTS video featuring Vikram’s Aditha Karikalan.

Besides that, the first single from the movie, titled Aga Naga, has gotten over 11 million views on Youtube.

Shakthisree Gopalan sang the Tamil version’s lyrics and the music was composed by A.R Rahman.

It’s a sweet melody that focuses on Kundavai and Vallavaraiyan Vanthiyathevan, played by Trisha Krishnan and Karthi, respectively.

With a total box office collection of 500 crores, Ponniyin Selvan becomes the highest-grossing Tamil movie of 2022 and the fifth-highest-grossing Tamil movie of all time.

There have been countless attempts and failures over the years to adapt the franchise to the big screen, including MGR and Kamal Hassan.

In addition to Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Jayaram, Aishwarya Lekshmi, and Sobhita Dhulipala, Ponniyin Selven features an ensemble main cast.
