Netflix has another hit on its hands, or at least that’s what its latest instant renewal suggests. Today, the company announced Arcane Season 2 and revealed that it is already in production for the next season. Fans have no idea when they can expect the second season. However, there are some theories about what it will be like after the first season’s cliffhanger ending.
Due to the show’s popularity and cliffhanger ending, a second season was always inevitable, and based on our conversations with one of its creators, it sounds like a second season was always planned from the start. There are plans — if not ambitions — for more shows centered around the League of Legends universe.
The League of Legends’ Arcane series, created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee and starring Haliee Steinfield, Kevin Alejandro, and Katie Leung, is currently streaming on Netflix.
Developed by Riot and produced by Fortiche Productions, the series was first announced at the League of Legends 10th Anniversary celebration. They worked on League of Legends cinematics before.
Taking place in the past, Arcane tells the origin stories of several League of Legends characters, such as Piltover and Zaun. Following season 1, we’re eager to see what season 2 brings, and League of Legends: Arcane has much more to offer!
