Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, the second anime film in the Dragon Ball Super franchise, was announced on Saturday at Shueisha’s Jump Festa ’22 event with a trailer and cast members. Also announced at the event was the film’s Japanese premiere date of April 22nd, 2022.
As part of the Red Ribbon Army, Hiroshi Kamiya plays Gamma #1 and Mamoru Miyano plays Gamma #2. The two voice actors appeared at the event alongside Toshio Furukawa (voice of Piccolo) and Masako Nozawa (voice of Son Goku, Son Gohan, Son Goten).
Dende, Korin, and Bulma have all released new character designs, and Whis will be appearing in the film.
The screenplay and character designs are handled by original creator Akira Toriyama. Before the release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, the film project was in the planning stages. In addition to composing the story and designing the characters, Toriyama is also writing the dialogue.
Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, will be the 21st anime film in the Dragon Ball franchise.
