Sean “Diddy” Combs, the legendary hip-hop mogul and dynamic producer, is ready to blaze the VMAs stage once again, 18 years after his last performance! Slated to air live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, on Tuesday, September 12 at 8 PM ET/PT, this year’s VMAs are about to get a dose of that classic Diddy charisma.

Celebrating over three decades of smashing the charts, Diddy’s musical journey boasts two #1 albums on the Billboard 200 and five chart-topping singles on the Billboard Hot 100. But this year, it’s not just about reminiscing the old days. The 53-year-old maestro has a fresh wave of nominations, thanks to his recent hits “Creepin” (Remix) and “Gotta Move On.” Battling in categories like “Best Collaboration” (twice over!), “Best Rap”, and “Best R&B”, Diddy is sure to give everyone a run for their money.

Adding to the night’s allure, Diddy will be graced with the coveted Global Icon Award, a testament to an artist’s unparalleled career, influence, and international success. Interestingly, this isn’t Diddy’s first dance with the Global Icon Award – he once lit up the stage hosting the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2002, where the award originates.

Fans, gear up! Diddy’s upcoming R&B masterpiece, The Love Album: Off the Grid, is set to launch on September 15. This marks his grand musical comeback since the critically lauded solo venture, Last Train to Paris, in 2010.

And remember, when Diddy’s on stage, expect iconic moments like his 1997 VMAs appearance for “Mo Money Mo Problems” and his grand hosting gig in 2005. With two VMAs already under his belt, let’s see if this year adds to his trophy collection.
