Earlier Saturday, rapper Kodak Black was arrested in South Florida on a trespassing charge.
Investigators did not immediately provide details about what prompted Black’s arrest, according to the South Florida SunSentinel, which reported that he had been taken into custody early Saturday morning in his hometown of Pompano Beach.
His publicist and lawyer did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, posted bond later and was released, according to the newspaper.
On his last day in office in 2020, President Trump commuted a three-year prison sentence for falsifying documents used to buy guns at a Miami gun store. Black had served about half of the sentence.
After pleading guilty to first-degree assault, Black was sentenced to probation last April for the assault of a teenage girl in a South Carolina hotel room. Black was originally charged with rape but accepted a plea deal for first-degree assault.
