The singer promises new music is coming “soon soon soon” as her ninth album waits in anticipation.
Her last album, ‘Anti’, was released in 2016. Since then, the pop star has teased new music, describing it as “completely different” from her older music.
As she exited a taxi, paparazzi asked Rihanna about when we could expect new music.
In the clip below, someone asks Rihanna, “Any new music?” Rihanna simply replies, “Soon, soon, soon.”
She teased her next release in an interview with Associated Press about her Savage X Fenty show: “You’re not gonna expect what you hear, just remember that. To be honest, whatever you know of Rihanna’s not gonna be what you hear.” Music is like fashion, you should be able to play, I should be able to wear whatever I want and I treat music the same way. So, I’m having fun, and it’s going to be different.”
During Barbados’ celebration of becoming a republic, Rihanna was honoured as the National Hero.
Recently, Rihanna released limited edition vinyl reissues of all eight of her studio albums, dubbed the ‘Rih-issue’ series.
