A firing incident near Imran Khan’s long march convoy in Wazirabad on Thursday resulted in him being shot in the leg ‘multiple times.’
The PTI’s Imran Ismail was quoted as saying that Khan might have been shot three to four times.
It is reported that Ismail was standing next to the former prime minister at the time of the incident. “The attacker was directly in front of the container and was wielding an AK-47,” the witness stated.
Fawad Chaudhry, the leader of the Pakistan People’s Party, has confirmed that Imran Khan was shot in the leg today during the long march in Wazirabad.
Several others were reportedly injured, including Senator Faisal Javed and Ahmad Chattha. The patients are currently being transported by ambulance to the hospital.
