It was announced on Monday that parking in Dubai will be a paid service for 14 hours daily between 8 am and 10 pm, except on Sundays and public holidays.
The parking fee will now be waived on Sundays instead of Fridays, as was the case previously.
Multi-storey parking will be charged 24/7, every day of the week.
There is a four-hour limit for parking on the roadside, 24 hours for parking in lots, and 30 days for parking in multi-storey parking facilities.
A new resolution relating to regulations governing parking in the Emirate was issued by Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
As per the resolution, the director-general and chairman of the board of executive directors of the Roads and Transport Authority are authorized to modify or reduce paid parking timings and to exempt certain categories of people, areas, or time periods from parking charges.
As soon as the resolution is published in the Official Gazette, it comes into effect.
