Fuel price committees in the UAE announced the petrol and diesel prices for the month of April 2022 on Thursday.
In April 2022, UAE petrol prices rose by 50 fils per litre compared to the previous month of March. Fuel prices surpassed the Dh3-per-litre mark for the first time since the country liberalized oil prices in August 2015.
Super 98 petrol will cost Dh3.74 a litre from April 1, up from Dh3.23 a litre last month. Petrol Special 95 will cost Dh3.62 per litre, up from Dh3.12 in March. The diesel price will go up by Dh4.02 a litre compared to Dh3.19 in March.
In the UAE, the Ministry of Energy adjusts fuel prices in the last week of each month in order to promote rational fuel consumption and promote the use of public transport as well as alternative fuels.
