On Monday, the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention reported 1,732 cases of Coronavirus-19, 608 recoveries, and 1 death. A total of 325,097 additional tests were performed to detect the new cases.

The country has conducted more than 109.6 million PCR tests.

In the UAE, the number of cases has reached 753,065, and the number of recoveries has reached 741,933. So far, 2,159 people have lost their lives.

Taking into account the rising Covid numbers, Abu Dhabi’s authorities are reducing the capacity for social events such as weddings, funerals, and family gatherings. For those attending such events, the UAE Capital’s Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee reminded individuals to adhere to the Green Pass protocol and to get a negative Covid test result. An indoor event should not host more than 50 people. Social gatherings at home should have a maximum of 30 people.

The organizers of Expo 2020 Dubai are also implementing Covid safety measures and “doubling down” on their commitment “to continue to host a safe and exceptional World Expo”. Organizers have said that if Covid-19 cases are detected, Expo 2020 Dubai venues may close temporarily for deep cleaning and sanitization.
