BWF World Championships 2021: PV Sindhu Moves To Next Round

Two-time Badminton Olympic medalist PV Sindhu won her match against Slovakia’s Martina Repiska 21-7, 21-9 in just 24 minutes. Sindhu faced very little resistance from Repiska in her round of 16 match.

In the ongoing BWF World Championships 2021 in Huelva, PV Sindhu began her title defence with a straight games victory over Martina Repiska on Tuesday.

Lakshya Sen overcame Kenta Nishimoto to advance in men’s singles. In a titanic match spanning one hour and 22 minutes, the Indian, who is making his World Championship debut, beat the 15th seed shuttler from Japan 22-20, 15-21, 21-18.

The Malaysian mixed doubles pair of Tan Kian Meng and Lai Pei Jing defeated India’s Saurabh Sharma and Anoushka Parikh 21-8, 21-18.
