In the wake of Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine, Formula One announced Friday it will not race there this year.

A race at Sochi’s Olympic Park was scheduled for Sept. 25 as part of the Russian Grand Prix, but organizers of the race said it would be “impossible” under the “current circumstances.”
