On Wednesday, Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna won their semifinal match against British-Americans Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk to advance to the finals of the Australian Open’s mixed doubles competition.
The Indian pair beat the third seeds in a semifinal that lasted one hour and 52 minutes 7-6(5), 6-7(5), 10-6.
They got a walkover in their quarterfinal match at Melbourne Park on Tuesday to advance to the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2023 mixed doubles event.
Sania Mirza’s last Grand Slam semifinal was at Wimbledon last year.
This is her last Grand Slam event before retiring after next month’s WTA tournament in Dubai.
