Emirates has added a second daily flight on its Dubai-Melbourne route, operated by its flagship A380 aircraft. Beginning May 1, Emirates will offer 14 weekly flights from Dubai to Melbourne.
Victoria’s government supports the expansion of services to encourage international flights to return to Melbourne and to attract more tourists.
By adding daily frequencies between Dubai and Melbourne, Emirates’ seat capacity will increase to over 1,000 passenger seats a day, totaling 700,000 per year between the global Dubai hub and Victoria, with 516 seats per flight.
You can book tickets on Emirates.com, through the Emirates App, or through both online and offline travel agents. Business Class has 76 lie-flat seats and Economy Class has 426 ergonomically designed seats.
Emirates will start offering an additional daily flight on May 1 departing Dubai at 10:05 am and arriving in Melbourne at 05:30 am the next day and departing Melbourne at 05:15 am and arriving in Dubai at 13:10 pm.
Customers will also have more convenience with the addition of a second daily A380 service, with the option to pick a morning or evening flight for optimal onward connections from Dubai.
