CNN will have Eva Longoria on its streaming service, CNN+, soon.
Eva Longoria: Searching for Mexico is the name of a new CNN+ series that the actress will host.A pseudo-spinoff of CNN’s Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy, the show will premiere in 2022 with six episodes and will be produced by Raw, the same production company as Searching for Italy. Additionally, Tucci will executive produce the new series.
Searching for Mexico will feature Longoria traveling across Mexico and exploring the country’s food, people, and culture just as Tucci’s CNN program did.
It is CNN’s first original series announced exclusively for CNN+ streaming, marking a significant milestone for the network.
Searching for Italy, Season 2 of which will premiere on CNN in the spring, has won most weeks of its timeslot and has been quickly renewed after its debut earlier this year.
Amy Entelis, executive vice president for talent & content development at CNN Worldwide, said, “Eva’s passion for Mexico and its culture and cuisine are perfectly complemented by Stanley’s trip to Italy. We’re pleased she will take her journey on CNN+.”
