Singapore Airlines confirmed on Tuesday that it will begin offering flights to Cebu and Davao under the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) program later this summer.

Singapore Airlines will begin flying the Singapore-Davao-Cebu triangular route on April 1, 2022, using Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The route will be flown once a day starting April 1. The first leg of the flight will leave Singapore at 12:35 PM (UTC+8) and arrive in Davao at 4:10 PM (UTC+8). The flight will operate under the name SQ-906.

With a turnaround time of 50 minutes, the flight will depart Davao at 5:00 PM and arrive in Cebu at 6:00 PM. The flight would depart from Cebu at 6:50 PM (UTC+8) and would arrive back in Singapore at 10:35 PM (UTC+8).

If passengers meet the VTL requirements, they can skip the seven-day quarantine when entering Singapore from Cebu and Davao, which will be covered by VTL.

Before the COVID-19 outbreak, SilkAir flew the same triangular route as Singapore Airlines. However, international restrictions caused by the pandemic temporarily halted the flights.

Due to the merger of SilkAir and Singapore Airlines, the mainline carrier will take over the Singapore-Davao-Cebu route. Low-cost subsidiary Scoot will continue to operate flights to Cebu and Davao alongside the mainline.
