Today on Christmas, Katrina Kaif announced her new movie. She returned to work a few days ago after getting married to Vicky Kaushal.
The actress was spotted with director Sriram Raghavan a few days ago, leading to speculation about a new project she may be working on with the filmmaker. It has now been officially announced that Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi will star in their new film ‘Merry Christmas’.
Having announced her collaboration with Sriram Raghavan and Vijay Sethupathi, Katrina wrote about “new beginnings” and added: “BACK ON SET with director Sriram Raghavan’s for Merry Christmas! I’ve always wanted to work with Sriram Sir. He is a master when it comes to narratives that showcase thrillers and it’s an honor to be directed by him… Super excited to be teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi for this one produced by Ramesh Taurani and Sanjay Routray.”
Merry Christmas will be Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi’s first film together. The film is scheduled to open next winter.
Sriram Raghavan is known for directing movies like Ek Hasina Thi, Johnny Gaddaar, Badlapur and Andhadhun.
Katrina recently appeared alongside Akshay Kumar in Sooryavanshi. The film has so far crossed the 100 crore mark around a week after its release. The actress has two other films lined up – Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 and Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara, which stars Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.
