Yolk Recruitment, A UK Firm Is Taking Their Employees On Free Vacation As Reward For Working During Pandemic

Recruitment agency Yolk Recruitment, based in Cardiff, Wales, is rewarding its 55 employees with an island vacation to thank them for their hard work during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Staff members at Yolk Recruitment will go on a vacation to Tenerife, Canary Islands.

In the early days of the Covid-19 pandemic, the 14-year-old company faced several challenges. Despite the hardships, the dedicated employees pushed through with new health protocols, home-based work, and hybrid workplace models, resulting in a large increase in company profits.

Yolk Recruitment’s Chief Commercial Officer Pavan Arora said, “2020 was a particularly challenging year for our entire industry, as jobs had been put on hold while we went into overdrive. We just wanted to say thanks to all of our staff for all they have done for us over the last two years as we have moved from remote working to hybrid back to remote.”

The four-day break will begin on Friday, April 1, 2022. The break is estimated to cost the company more than £100,000 for the four days.

There were a variety of reactions to the move, with some suspecting a prank and others praising the company’s rewarding, positive work environment.

“We’re showing our appreciation for the hard work they’ve put in over the past two years,” Arora explained.
