A new thrill ride has been launched by Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority – Jais Sledder – that appeals to thrill seekers and those who always seek adrenaline-filled activities. In addition to hosting the world’s longest zipline, the first Bear Grylls Explorers Camp, Jebel Jais, will now host a unique and first-ever sledder for the region.

From February 15, 2022, get into your own bobsled and take a ride to the top of Jebel Jais, UAE’s highest peak. With its low-slung track, this is the region’s first alpine coaster.

Riders can hit speeds up to 40kmph while hurtling through a magnificent panoramic view as they hurtle down the Hajar mountain range, said a statement released on Wednesday. Every sled has an accessible braking system, and the riders are securely fastened into the sleds.

The Jais Welcome Centre provides visitors with the opportunity to purchase bundles of one or three tickets — don’t worry, you can always purchase more. Visitors can choose to experience the solo superhero experience with a friend or a member of their family or go it alone.

It will be the first and longest alpine coaster in the area with a length of 1,885 metres. The thrill of navigating hairpin curves while admiring the breathtaking views of the valley is definitely an experience not to be missed.

Jebel Jais, located on the Northern Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, home to the highest peak in the United Arab Emirates, Ras Al Khaimah has been heavily investing in the tourism sector, particularly adventure tourism and hospitality.
